Come to the cafe for great food and all the smiles! We appear at the HUB like magic on Fridays from 8:30-2, with breakfast bagels, fresh in-house baking, barista-made coffee and other beverages. Our tasty lunch menu starts at 11:30. We always offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

We need a new espresso machine!

Our espresso machine gave up the ghost at the very end of June (you may have barely noticed the disruption thanks to our superstar volunteers) and we need to replace it. As you might imagine, the kind of machine we need to make you, our beloved customers, your coffee in delicious and timely fashion does not come cheap, so we’re asking for a little help to make it happen.

Would you consider donating to help us cover the cost? If everyone who comes to the cafe donates $5-$10 we’ll be covered! You can do it via e-transfer to accounts@cowichanstation.org, or via our website

It would mean so much to the folks who devote so much time and energy to making this scrappy, delicious, mostly-volunteer-run café the thriving community space that it is. Thank you!

This gussied-up classic features local eggs, herbs and pickles, is served on soft and delicious sourdough bread and comes accompanied by a zingy pickled salad that includes cucumbers, cabbage and radishes. It's both homey and bright, and just the thing for April. All in support of your friendly neighbourhood non-profit community centre. You can buy fair-style tickets at the welcome table and choose which activities to spend them on.
